About Urology
Urologists are surgeons who treat men, women and children with problems involving the kidney, bladder, prostate and male reproductive organs. These conditions include cancer, stones, infection, incontinence, sexual dysfunction and pelvic floor problems.
The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) is a membership organisation for urological surgeons. The Society's staff are not medically trained and cannot provide medical advice or referrals.
For medical advice, you should consult your general practitioner (GP) in the first instance.
All Full Members of the Society are accredited urological surgeons (urologists). If you wish to check a member's medical registration information, you can do so at:
- The Health Practitioners Register maintained by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency.
- The Register of Doctors maintained by the Medical Council of New Zealand.
