Eligibility
Generic Requirements
Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must satisfy the generic eligibility criteria determined by the RACS. All generic eligibility requirements must be satisfied at the time of registration. For more detailed information refer to the generic eligibility requirements for 2025 intake (conducted during 2024).
Urology Specific Requirements
Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must also satisfy the urology-specific eligibility requirements outlined in SET Selection Regulations for the 2024 intake (conducted during 2024).
Registration
Any person intending to apply for selection to the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must first register in accordance with the RACS Registration for Selection into Surgical Education and Training Policy. Applicants who have not registered cannot lodge an application for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology.
Registration is completed online on the RACS website. Registration fees apply.
The Registration Period for the 2025 intake (conducted during 2024), is:
- Registrations Open Tuesday 9 January 2024 at 12:00 noon AEDT
- Registrations Close Wednesday 31 January 2024 at 12:00 noon AEDT
Late registrations will not be considered.
Application
Applications may only be submitted by registered applicants using the online Urology Application form.
Applicants will be required to pay an application fee to be considered for selection. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid prior to the closing date. Failure to pay the application fee by the closing date will result in the application being withdrawn.
The Application Period for the 2025 intake (conducted during 2024) is:
- Applications Open Wednesday 28 February 2024 at 12:00 noon AEDT
- Applications Close Tuesday 26 March 2024 at 12:00 noon AEDT
During this time, eligible registered applicants will be able to access an online application form. Late applications will not be considered.
Referee Reporting
The Referee Reporting Period for the 2025 intake (conducted during 2024) is:
- Referee Reporting Opens - Friday 19 April 2024
- Referee Reporting Closes - Friday 17 May 2024 8.00pm AEST
Interviews
Interviews for all shortlisted applicants will be held on Saturday 15 June 2024. Interview locations will be communicated when finalised.
