Eligibility

Generic Requirements
Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must satisfy the generic eligibility criteria determined by the RACS. All generic eligibility requirements must be satisfied at the time of registration. For more detailed information refer to the generic eligibility requirements for selection.

Urology Specific Requirements
Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must also satisfy the urology-specific eligibility requirements outlined in SET Selection Regulations for the 2027 intake (conducted during 2026).
 

Application Process

Registration
Any person intending to apply for selection to the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must first register in accordance with the RACS Regulation: Registration and Selection to Surgical Education and Training.

Registration is completed online on the RACS website. Registration fees apply.

The Registration Period for the 2027 intake (conducted during 2026) is:

  • Registrations Open Tuesday 6 January 2026 at 12:00 noon AEDT
  • Registrations Close Friday 30 January 2026 at 12:00 noon AEDT


Late registrations will not be considered.

Application

Applications may only be submitted by registered applicants using the online Urology Application form.

Applicants will be required to pay an application fee to be considered for selection. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid prior to the closing date. Failure to pay the application fee by the closing date will result in the application being withdrawn.

The Application Period for the 2027 intake (conducted during 2026) is:

  • Applications Open Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 12:00 noon AEDT
  • Applications Close Friday 20 March 2026 at 12:00 noon AEDT


During this time, eligible registered applicants will be able to access an online application form. Late applications will not be considered.

Referee Interviews
The Referee Interview Period for the 2027 intake (conducted during 2026) will be from Monday 20 April 2026 until Friday 22 May 2026 (approximately).

Interviews
Interviews for all shortlisted applicants will be held on Saturday 13 June 2026 in Sydney and Melbourne.
