Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must satisfy the generic eligibility criteria determined by the RACS. All generic eligibility requirements must be satisfied at the time of registration when applicants must also consent to a full criminal history check including the submission of relevant documentation if required. Urology Specific Requirements
Any person wishing to apply for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must also satisfy the urology-specific eligibility requirements outlined in SET Selection Regulations for the 2022 intake (conducted during 2021).
Future eligibility requirement
Successful completion of the RACS Clinical Examination (CE) will be a mandatory eligibility requirement for the 2023 intake (conducted during 2022). The number of attempts made at the RACS Clinical Examination, may also be taken into consideration in the awarding of CV points.

Any person intending to apply for selection to the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology must first register in accordance with the RACS Registration for Selection into Surgical Education and Training Policy. Applicants who have not registered cannot lodge an application for the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology.
Registration is completed online on the RACS website. Registration fees apply.
The Registration Period for the 2022 intake (conducted during 2021), is:
- Registrations Open Wednesday 6 January 2021 at 12:00 noon AEDT
- Registrations Close Wednesday 3 February 2021 at 5.00pm AEDT
Late registrations will not be considered.
Applications may only be submitted by registered applicants using the online Urology Application form.
Applicants will be required to pay an application fee to be considered for selection. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid prior to the closing date. Failure to pay the application fee by the closing date will result in the application being withdrawn.
The Application Period for the 2022 intake (conducted during 2021) is:
- Applications Open Wednesday 24 February 2021 at 12:00 noon AEDT
- Applications Close Wednesday 24 March 2021 at 12:00 noon AEDT
During this time, eligible registered applicants will be able to access an online application form, including information on the application fee charged from the RACS website. Late applications will not be considered.
The Referee Reporting Period for the 2022 intake (conducted during 2021) is:
- Referee Reporting Opens - Wednesday 21 April 2021 AEST
- Referee Reporting Closes - Wednesday 19 May 2021 5.00pm AEST
Interviews for all shortlisted applicants will be held on Saturday 19 June 2021. Interview locations will be communicated when finalised.
