Dear Members, 

Welcome to the first of my new monthly updates. I look forward to sharing more with you over the coming months about what is happening at USANZ.

My first update coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Christchurch Earthquake on Monday 22 February. The event will forever be a major part of the history of the Society and the lives of the many Members and friends of the Society who were there. To mark the event, we asked Members to share their recollections of the day, both on our social media channels and also in UroChat on USANZ Communities. Thank you to those who did share their thoughts on these channels and the many other Members who contacted me or shared their stories privately with colleagues.

On February 20th the Board of Directors held their meeting and I look forward to sharing some of the outcomes of that meeting with you in the coming weeks when we distribute the latest edition of UroScope, the regular update from the USANZ Board of Directors.

You will have also recently seen the Save the Date for Day 1 of the USANZ Urology Program as part of the RACS ASC 2021 on Tuesday 11 May. I invite all Members to join us on the day at one of the USANZ Hubs available across Australia and New Zealand for what promises to be a stimulating program.
