USANZ Member on Avant Board

Following Avant's 2023 Director Elections, USANZ Member Professor Mark Frydenberg AM has been successfully appointed as one of two incoming Voting Member Directors to the Avant Board.

On behalf of USANZ, we warmly congratulate Mark on his latest accomplishment and wish him all the best in this role. 

USANZ Members at KUA 2023

The Annual Meeting of the Korean Urological Association was held in Seoul from 1–4 November 2023. Two USANZ Members were invited to the meeting as guest speakers, including our President Professor Helen O'Connell AO and Associate Professor Lih-Ming Wong. 

On Thursday 2 November, Lih-Ming Wong presented in a plenary session on the topic 'How does PSMA PET-CT change our clinical practice in the management of prostate cancer?'. In a plenary session the following day, Helen presented on 'Incontinence Services - An Australian Perspective'.

During her time at the meeting, Helen also attended the KUA International Leadership Dinner and met with representatives from several other urological associations. 

On returning home, Helen stopped by Auckland to meet with other USANZ Members including Dr Eva Fong, Dr Sum Sum Lo, Professor Vincent Tse and Dr Sandra Elmer for a live female reconstructive surgery demonstration.
