Congratulations to UAA President Dr David Winkle

The Society would like to congratulate Dr David Winkle on becoming President of the Urological Association of Asia.

Dr Winkle was instrumental in securing the bid for USANZ to host the 19th UAA Congress in Sydney. As a past President of USANZ & current Elected Council Member to the General Council of UAA, Dr Winkle continues to play a significant role in raising the profile of our Society amongst the 26 Member nations of the UAA.

USANZ has been a Member of the UAA for over a decade. Dr Winkle's Presidency, along with the support of previous USANZ Presidents, all contributed to the success of the bid to host the Congress in Sydney. The Congress was well received by the delegates and Dr Winkle, in his capacity as the UAA 2022 Congress Chair, contributed significantly.

Dr Winkle is the first USANZ Member to be appointed as UAA President and received the Presidential Medal from the outgoing President Myung-Soo Choo. The ceremony took place at the Gala Dinner on 7 October 2022.

The UAA looks forward to welcoming USANZ Members to the next UAA Congress which will be held in Dubai in 2023.
