Farewell to Kirsten Isaacs, USANZ Training Administrator

We will be saying farewell to our Training Administrator, Kirsten Isaacs, on the 25 January as she prepares to move back to Germany in February.

Kirsten has been a much loved and valued member of the USANZ team for more than nine years, working primarily with Deborah Klein in the delivery of the Surgical Education and Training Program in Urology. Kirsten has provided administrative and organisational support for Trainee Week, the Induction Course, Regional Trainee Activities, Training Post Inspections, and Selection of Trainees. Additionally, Kirsten has provided support to the Victorian Section and managed the Victorian Educational Program.

More recently, Kirsten took on the additional role of UAA 2022 Congress Manager. USANZ hosted the 19th Annual Urological Association of Asia Congress in Sydney last October, and the success of this event was a testament to Kirsten's leadership.

We have valued Kirsten's commitment to her work over the last nine years; she always performs at a high level, delivering quality results and going the extra mile. It has been lovely to work with Kirsten and I know her presence will be missed in the office.

As sad it is to see Kirsten leave USANZ, we send her our best wishes as she starts the next exciting chapter of her life following her marriage in early 2022.

Welcome to our new USANZ Training Administrator, Jenny Hislop

I am pleased to announce that Jenny Hislop has recently joined the USANZ team as Training Administrator. Kirsten and Jenny are currently working together closely as Kirsten does a handover of the role.

Jenny worked at the UNSW Business School for 13 years as a Research Support Officer. In this role she managed 180 Higher Degree students (PhD and MPhil), managing recruitment, candidature, scholarships, on track completion of their studies and graduate placements.

Since leaving UNSW she has worked for the Department of Education and most recently as an EA to the Executive General Manager of Member Services at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Happy New Year from the USANZ Operations Room!

USANZ staff have returned to the office after a well-deserved break. We've got another busy year ahead, with only six weeks until the ASM. We're looking forward to seeing our Members in Melbourne - if you haven't done so yet, you can register online.

This year, USANZ and the Continence Foundation of Australia will be hosting the first joint conference for the 31st National Conference on Incontinence (NCOI) and the 4th Functional Urology Symposium (FUS). This event will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 14 – 17 June 2023. For more information, visit NCOI-FUS 2023.
