Senior Staff Specialist (Urology)

Launceston General Hospital is seeking a Consultant Urological Surgeon to join their team as a Senior Staff Specialist.

This is a fixed-time, part-time position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a three-year period. A possibility exists for the successful applicant to work in a position of a Visiting Medical Specialist or as a Staff Specialist, hours to be negotiated.

Subspecialist interests are encouraged, and experience in Female urology and reconstruction is highly valued.

The urology department at Launceston General Hospital provides a comprehensive Level 6 Urology service across North and North-West Tasmania. The team consists of four experienced urologists, registrars, a SET trainee, and a clinical nurse specialist. A robotic platform will be launched this year.

The successful candidate will provide service to patients at Launceston General Hospital as well as the Mersey Community Hospital as part of the Statewide Urological Service provision. They will also be expected to participate in SET Registrar training and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.
