Visiting Medical Officer

Western Sydney Local Health District are currently advertising for a Quinquennial Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) to join the Department of Urology at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals

Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals is a NSW Health Peer Group A1 facility and a major teaching hospital for the Western Sydney University. Almost 2000 urological operations are performed on an annual basis.

A VMO is being sought to assist with wait list management. This position will be supervising emergency lists, ad hoc waitlist elective operative sessions to prevent breached elective cases and providing leave cover of outpatient clinics and elective theatre sessions as required.

Successful applicants may be offered a conjoint university appointment within the Faculty of Medicine at the relevant University attached to each facility.
