Spotlight on Urology

Spotlight on Urology takes a look at recent activities undertaken to advance urology around the world. This week, we provide an update on the successful USANZ speaker at the upcoming Ina-UA-USANZ Joint Session and a USANZ Member recently added to the ANZSJ Editorial Board.

InaUA 2026 Speaker Confirmed

USANZ is pleased to announce that SET5 Urology Trainee Andrew Silagy will represent the Society at the Indonesian Urological Association Annual Scientific Meeting in West Java from 30 September to 3 October 2026.

Andrew has research experience in uro-oncology and recently represented USANZ through the Canadian Urological Association Trainee Exchange Program. His participation will bring an Australian trainee perspective to the InaUA–USANZ Joint Session and support the continued exchange of clinical knowledge between the two associations.

USANZ congratulates Andrew on this opportunity and looks forward to hearing about his experience following the meeting.

ANZJS Editorial Board

USANZ Member A/Prof Kat MacLeod has joined the ANZ Journal of Surgery Editorial Board in the Surgical Education portfolio.

Prof MacLeod recently submitted her PhD in Surgical Education to the University of Melbourne and will work alongside Prof Prem Rashid within this growing portfolio.

USANZ wishes Kat every success in her new appointment.
