Visiting Medical Specialist (Urology)

Launceston General Hospital invites applications for a Consultant Urological Surgeon.

Serving a population of approximately 300,000, our unit provides a comprehensive Level 6 Urology service across North and North-West Tasmania, along with statewide sub-specialist services. The Urology team includes four experienced urologists who are committed to excellence in patient care, well supported by a team of registrars, including a SET trainee and clinical nurse specialist.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in satellite clinics and theatre lists at the Mersey Community Hospital as part of the Statewide Urological Service provision, and to participate in SET Registrar training and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.

Subspecialist interests are encouraged. Experience in female urology and robotics is highly valued.

The appointment is fixed Term, full time, day worker with on-call, working 21 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a three-year period. Please note that a possibility exists for the successful applicant to work in a position of a Visiting Medical Specialist or as a Staff Specialist, hours to be negotiated
