Dennis Arnold

Dr Dennis Deane Arnold made significant contribution to USANZ, including his service as Secretary (1966 to 1969), President (1981-1982) and Convenor of the 1982 Annual Scientific Meeting in Canberra. He was made a Fellow of the Urological Society in 1996.

Dennis was a member of the AMA; the Australian Association of Paediatric Surgeons; British Association of Urological Surgeons; and the Societe Internationale d'Urologie. Alongside Bill Straffon, he represented the Society on the Australian Standards Association, with special responsibility for the Standard for urethral catheters. His colleagues considered him to be a thoughtful and skilful technical surgeon who made his mark exercising his knowledge and expertise in the Paediatric field and was always prepared to offer advice to younger urologists.
