Clinical Examination
The Clinical Examination (CE) is a practical exam that assesses clinical application of basic sciences as well as technical and non-technical competencies. It is an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) consisting of 16 five-minute stations designed to test applied knowledge of the clinical conditions and scenarios trainees may encounter as a junior doctor working in a hospital
Four station types assess the following competencies:
- physical examination
- communication skills
- history taking
- procedural skills.
Trainees must register and pay the applicable fee for the examinations. There are strict closing dates applied the RACS. The examinations are managed by the RACS and information can be obtained via the link below.

Fellowship Examination
The Fellowship Examination is administered by the RACS. Information relating to dates fees and registrations can be obtained via the links below.
Trainees must be approved as eligible to sit by the Board of Urology on each occasion that they present for the examination.
