USANZ Annual Scientific Meeting
The USANZ Annual Scientific Meeting was first held in the 1940s and has become the premier event in the Southern Hemisphere for all health professionals who specialise in urology including Urological nurses. In recent years the event has attracted upwards of 1000 participants.
The ASM is held over four days, usually from Saturday to Tuesday, and at the beginning of the year (between late February and mid-April). It is a multidisciplinary meeting, inviting participation from doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and scientists working in urology regionally and internationally.
The first day offers a wide variety of workshops led by regional/international experts, followed by the USANZ AGM. The ASM opening ceremony and Harry Harris Oration are held late in the afternoon followed by a Welcome Reception in the Industry Exhibition. The following three days include breakfast symposia and plenary and concurrent scientific sessions. The gala dinner is held on Monday evening.
The ASM's multidisciplinary program addresses the various subspecialties within urology:
- Uro-Oncology
- Bladder Cancer
- Kidney Cancer
- Robotics
