2023 UGSA Annual Scientific Meeting

The Urogynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA) will hold their 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne from 22 - 24 November.

The theme of this year's meeting is 'Navigating the Changing Landscape in Urogynaecology' which may be of interest to our Members. View the program online.

Sacral Neuromodulation Workshop

As part of the UGSA 2023 ASM program, there will be a Sacral Neuromodulation Workshop on 23 November from 9am - 2:45pm.

Combining theoretical learning and hands-on experience, this workshop is designed for healthcare physicians who are interested in expanding their knowledge in the application of Sacral Neuromodulation (SNM) for the treatment of urinary incontinence. The target audience for this workshop includes Urologists, Urology Trainees and Urogynaecologists. 

Learning objectives for the Sacral Neuromodulation Workshop:

• Understand the potential value of sacral neuromodulation (SNM) therapy for treating patients with urinary incontinence and which patients are suitable for the therapy
• Understand how to use x-ray for optimal electrode lead placement
• Understand how to set and optimise SNM programming
• Understand how to manage implant complications
