USANZ Members at PPCS 2023
The 17th Pan-Pacific Continence Society (PPCS) Meeting was held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in Taiwan from 14-15 October 2023. USANZ is pleased to share the news that three of our Members attended the Meeting and participated heavily in the program.
USANZ would like to congratulate Professor Lewis Chan, Dr Audrey Wang, and Dr Rupert Ouyang on their participation. We have provided details on their involvement below.
Dr Audrey Wang
On the first day of the program, Audrey Wang moderated an Interactive Symposium on Overactive Bladder in the morning, and later presented in the Interactive Symposium on Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome. During the afternoon podium presentations, Audrey delivered a presentation on the topic Re-evaluation of safe bladder storage in adult spina bifida patients. Later that afternoon, Audrey represented Australia in the Young Generation Forum on Empowering the Next Generation of Urologists. On the final day of the program, Audrey participated in an Interactive Symposium on Postprostatectomy Incontinence.
Professor Lewis Chan
As part of the PPCS program, a Memorial Ceremony was held for Professor Osamu Yamaguchi. Lewis Chan was one of the speakers to share memories of Professor Yamaguchi during this special event.
On the final day of the program, Lewis delivered the State of Art Lecture on The role of functional pelvic floor assessment in management of post prostatectomy incontinence.
Dr Rupert Ouyang
Dr Rupert Ouyang was featured in the program as a moderator during Podium Presentations on 14 October. Rupert was also a moderator on 15 October for the morning Podium Presentations, followed by the Poster Presentations on LUTS.
