Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

With Prostate Cancer Awareness Month this September, USANZ hopes to raise awareness in the media for the rising incidences of prostate cancer in younger men.

A/Prof Weranja Ranasinghe, Lead of the USANZ Genitourinary Oncology Specialty Advisory Group, recently featured in an exclusive article published by The Australian's Senior Health Reporter Penny Timms. 

Sharing the story of Tim Weale, a man diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer at age 44, the article describes proposed changes to prostate cancer guidelines that would see Australia as the first country to introduce proactive national clinical guidelines for the early detection of prostate cancer.
