This week, the Herald Sun ran an article titled 'Men warned of permanent penis damage from injections easily bought via telehealth'. 

Written by Tamara McDonald and published on 17 February 2026, the article highlights the risks of permanent damage and invasive surgery from men injecting their penises to try and boost sexual performance. Speaking to the Herald Sun, Darren Katz explains the biggest risk is priapism and discusses misuse of the injections, including purchasing the drugs online.
