USANZ Responds to MJA Article

USANZ has formally contacted Professor Nick Talley, Editor-in-Chief of The Medical Journal of Australia in relation to a recently published article.

The article "Differences in treatment choices for localised prostate cancer diagnosed in private and public health service" by Te Marvelde et. al., raised a number of concerns amongst USANZ Members regarding the validity of the study, the methodology and the conclusions reached.

USANZ has requested a right of reply to the article in order to provide a balanced view on the topic to MJA readers.
