USANZ Member Participation - CFA Education Days for State and Territory Advisory Committees

Bringing together health professionals in bladder, bowel and pelvic floor health, the Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) hosts Education Days for State and Territory Advisory Committees (STAC) throughout September and October.

2023 STAC NSW Education Day

The 2023 NSW Education Day was held at the Dockside Convention Centre in Sydney on Friday 1 September. USANZ was pleased to hear that two of our Members, Audrey Wang and Vincent Tse, participated in the CFA program.

Audrey Wang was one of three speakers in a workshop on SNS/PTNS/TTNS, considering the following questions: how are they done, how do they work, and how effective are they? Throughout this workshop, there was an opportunity to volunteer for a live demonstration of PTNS. Vincent Tse presented in the afternoon 'Happy Hour' session on the topic Where do we go after the AUS?

2023 STAC Victoria Education Day

The 2023 Victoria Education Day was held at the Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne in Richmond on Friday 8 September 2023. Several USANZ Members were included in the program which we were also delighted to see!

In the first session of the day on Male Pelvic Health, Shan Morrison presented on the topic of What's new in male pelvic health from a physiotherapy perspective. Following this, Jos Jayarajan chaired the second session of the day on Neuromodulation. Johan Gani was also in this session chaired by Jos, presenting on Non-obstructive urinary retention and sacral neuromodulation: systematic review and predictive factors for success. In the afternoon Female (Pessary and Mesh) session, Jos Jayarajan presented on Female pelvic floor surgery in the post-mesh era.

Upcoming STAC Education Days

The 2023 Western Australia Education Day is scheduled for Saturday 14 October at St Catherine's on Park in Crawley, Perth. Early bird registration closes on 5 October. For more information and to register your attendance, please visit the CFA website.
