SIRA Impairment Assessors
The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is responsible for the regulation of the Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Home Building Compensation (HBC) statutory insurance schemes in NSW. SIRA has issued an invitation for applicants to become impairment assessors.
SIRA invites USANZ Members to apply for approval as:
- Health practitioners authorised to give evidence (HPA) in the NSW CTP Scheme, and
- Permanent impairment assessors (PIA) in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme
Assessors play an important part in NSW personal injury schemes by facilitating high quality, fair and impartial assessments. To support this, SIRA is committed to maintaining a balanced and representative pool of assessors across relevant specialities, including urology. A diverse assessor cohort helps ensure that scheme participants have choice and that assessments are conducted in a manner that is sensitive to individual needs.
