Celebrating USANZ Members

The USANZ Board of Directors is pleased to announce the outcome of several Expressions of Interest.

USANZ Representative on RACS Committees

Dr Marlon Perera will serve as the USANZ Representative on the RACS Scholarship & Grant Committee. This committee, which comprises members from surgical specialties as well as other stakeholders, is responsible for selecting applicants for all RACS scholarships, grants and fellowships.

In addition, Marlon has been nominated as the Urology Program Convenor for RACS 2025 Annual Scientific Congress (ASC). He will develop the scientific program for the ASC Urology Program, which will be held in Sydney on 3 May 2025.

USANZ congratulates Marlon on these appointments and thanks him for his service in these important roles.

Successful Applicants for mHSPC Urology Masterclass

The Board has also nominated five USANZ Members to attend the mHSPC Urology Masterclass in Toronto. This is a two-day intensive uro-oncology workshop provided by Astellas and led by Prof Neil Fleshner.

The successful candidates are Drs Jonathan Chambers, Ned Kinnear, Kapil Sethi, Anthony Ta, and Isaac Thangasamy.

The Society wishes our Members the best for their time in Canada, and hope they learn new skills to bring back to their practice in Australia and New Zealand.
