Below the Belt Research Fund Grant 2025
Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate (ANZUP) Cancer Trials Group is a charity that conducts clinical trials research to improve treatment of bladder, kidney, testicular, penile and prostate cancers.
Applications are now open for the ANZUP Below the Belt Research Fund 2025.
The Below the Belt Research Fund was established to support ANZUP members in the development of investigator-initiated studies. Proceeds from Below the Belt events and campaigns, as well as donations and fundraising from community groups and consumers, goes directly towards clinical trial research via this fund. It provides much-needed seed funding to support ANZUP members to progress new trial ideas to the point of becoming full scale studies.
Notably, USANZ Member A/Prof Weranja Ranasinghe was a 2024 recipient of this grant for work on Evaluating the BCG-R5 immune marker to define BCG response in high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and personalise intravesical therapy.
