USANZ at RACS ASC 2025
The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) held its Annual Scientific Congress (ASC) from 3–6 May 2025. Congratulations to USANZ Member, Prof Henry Woo, who served as the ASC Convenor as well as Dr Marlon Perera as the Convenor of the Urology Program.
Urology Program Convenors
The dedicated Urology session at the RACS ASC explored Advances in Australasian Urology and was chaired by Dr Marlon Perera and Dr Joseph Ischia.
Approximately 50 people were in attendance at the Urology session. 22 presentations were delivered, many by intending SET applicants.
Several USANZ Members were involved in the session and their presentation topics are outlined below. Congratulations to all participants!

Colin McRae Medal for 2024 Recipient
USANZ congratulates Prof Peter Gilling on receiving the Colin McRae Medal for 2024, presented at the RACS ASC 2025.
The Colin McRae Medal recognises and promotes the art and science of surgery and surgical leadership in Aotearoa New Zealand. This award honours Peter's outstanding contributions and we were delighted to hear about his achievement.
