Male Infertility Guidelines
The first Australian evidence-based guidelines on male infertility have now been published. The guidelines have been endorsed by USANZ as well as Healthy Male, the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand.

The Medical Journal of Australia published an article on 3 November 2025 about these guidelines, highlighting the key recommendations. USANZ Member Darren Katz was the lead author of that paper.
The article notes that the guidelines will serve as a clinical aid to the large number of practitioners who provide services to men with infertility. The broad and comprehensive nature of the guidelines will facilitate evidenceābased care for the most common areas of male infertility.
In addition, Darren spoke on the MJA Podcast about the guidelines.

These guidelines continue to place male fertility in the media. In early October, USANZ published a media release, urging men to understand the link between fertility and long-term health. The release was subsequently covered by Nine Newspapers and syndicated to newspapers including the Sydney Morning Herald.
