BINS4Blokes 2026
BINS4Blokes initiative is an awareness and advocacy campaign by Continence Health Australia (CHA), promoting the installation of incontinence product disposal bins in male public toilets.
Over 2.4 million men and boys are currently living with incontinence. Male incontinence can occur at any age with more than one third of men under the age of 50.
Yet, bins for the safe and hygienic disposal of continence products are still not widely available in male public toilets. Because of this, it is difficult for boys and men with incontinence to get out and about.
As many as 50% of males with incontinence are likely to avoid situations where they do not have certainty about the hygienic disposal of incontinence products, and most are reluctant to reveal or discuss their incontinence with others.
Provision of incontinence product disposal bins as a priority in male public toilets will improve the health and wellbeing of men and boys living with incontinence.
The National Public Toilet Map (NPTM) is a free website and app that can help men and boys with incontinence to easily find their nearest incontinence product disposal bin.
In addition, CHA is currently running the annual Great Dunny Hunt. Any new toilet added to the NPTM from 23 March to 15 June will go in the draw to win a $1000 Discovery Holiday Parks voucher. Users can add when a toilet facility has installed an incontinence product disposal bin, helping to improve access and increase awareness of BINS4Blokes.
