Movember Personalised Prostate Cancer Care Initiative Update January 2024

Information regarding Movember’s Funding Opportunity in Personalised Prostate Cancer Care Initiative was shared with USANZ Members last month.

The deadline for Letters of Intent has been extended to 14 February 2024.

Request for Proposals

Movember are seeking proposals from Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom for our Personalised Prostate Cancer Care Initiative. Funding involves a two-step process: A brief letter of intent application, followed by a full proposal for shortlisted candidates. 

The initiative aims to enhance prostate cancer care by implementing Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) in clinical settings. Emphasis is on improving monitoring, management, and evidence-based decision-making for men during and after treatment, especially for underserved populations with poorer health outcomes. The goals of this initiative include evidence creation or evidence strengthening and implementation.

Movember want to emphasize that community-based organisations play a pivotal role in achieving the initiative's objectives. Underserved populations particularly are a priority. Movember invites proposals that address the unique needs of these communities, contributing to the overall improvement of monitoring, management, and evidence-based decision-making for men during and after treatment.

Key Dates for the Initiative

  • Letter of Intent (LOI) Deadline - 14 February 2024
  • Notification of Outcome of LOI Assessment - Week Commencing 26 February 2024 
  • Full Program Proposal (FP) Deadline - 6 April 2024
  • Notification of Outcome of FP Assessment - End June 2024
  • Earliest Project Start Date - 15 August 2024

Applicants are asked to register their interest through the creation of a profile within the grants management system. All applications must be submitted online by the submission deadline. Late submissions or applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
