Celebrating USANZ Members
Eric Chung
The International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) has recently announced that their incoming President-Elect is USANZ Member, Eric Chung. ISSM is the peak global scientific organisation in sexual medicine, comprising 7 affiliated regional sexual medicine societies across 125 countries with over 3500 members. Eric will act as President-Elect for two years, before serving as President in 2027-8. He currently serves as the ISSM Chair of the Surgical Outreach Committee and is also the Leader for the USANZ Male Lower Urinary Tract Specialty Advisory Group. Congratulations Eric!
Greg Jack
Greg Jack has been selected by the UAA to present the UAA Lecture at the EAU 2025 in Madrid next March. This is a noteworthy achievement and it is wonderful to see a USANZ member selected from a very competitive field of candidates from all UAA Member Associations.
Helen O'Connell
USANZ President Helen O'Connell was interviewed by 7 News this week about treatment of UTIs. This continues to be a prominent issue amidst concerns about rising antimicrobial resistance and, at the same time, consequences of under-prescribing antibiotics including for chronic UTIs. Helen provides an invaluable expert voice as part of these public discussions.
