Toronto SNM Functional Fellowship 2025
The University Health Network (Toronto, Canada) has announced a 1-year fellowship in functional urology, specialising in sacral neuromodulation. This opportunity is exclusively for Australian and New Zealand urologists and comes, with a salary expectation around $90,000 AUD. The ideal start date is 1 July 2025..
The fellow will be based at the University Health Network where they will have exposure to sub-specialty clinical care at Canada's largest academic medical center. Experience will include advanced training in sacral neuromodulation including office-based basic evaluation, advanced staged implants, and full SNM surgeries (>100 cases typically). The fellow will also gain experience in evaluation of voiding dysfunction including video urodynamics. Other areas of clinical training will include advanced BPH surgery including Greenlight vaporization, Aquablation, and all office-based MISTS, with additional surgical exposure to artificial urinary sphincter, and penile prosthesis surgery.
The fellow will have 1 day of on-call per month on average. There will be opportunities for research, as well as to present findings at national and international meetings.
Importantly, the successful candidate should be committed to returning to Australia or New Zealand at the completion of the fellowship, where they would work to establish or grow SNM practice.
Anyone interested in the fellowship should email the Fellowship Director, Dr Dean Elterman.
