RACS Access to Surgery, Sustainability and Patient Affordability Survey

RACS is seeking evidence from FRACS and SIMGs in Australia to better understand the factors influencing access to surgical care, patient costs, and the sustainability of surgical practice. The findings will inform our submission to government, as well as our broader advocacy agenda on these issues, it is critical that RACS' advocacy is informed by robust evidence from the profession.

The survey will remain open for one more week, and we would greatly appreciate your assistance in encouraging your members to participate.

Australian governments, insurers, consumer groups and the media are increasingly focused on specialist fees, patient affordability and access to care. At the same time, surgeons are reporting growing challenges associated with workforce shortages, rising practice costs, hospital capacity constraints, regulatory requirements and limitations in public and private funding models.
