Call for Reform of NDIS Assessment Processes
The Continence Funding and Advocacy Network are circulating a petition calling for reform of the NDIS assessment processes. The petition states qualified continence clinicians should be responsible for decisions relating to clinically prescribed product solutions for participants.
This petition will be followed by a Parliamentary event on 24 June.
The growing reliance on non-clinical NDIS assessors to review, override, or deny clinically prescribed continence product solutions is creating significant barriers to access, delaying essential services, and compromising both the quality and safety of participant care. It is also contributing to avoidable costs across the NDIS.
USANZ Members are invited to sign the petition and leave a comment based on experience of supporting NDIS participants.
