UAA International Fellowship in Urologic Surgery
UAA, together with the Kameda Medical Center in Japan, invite applications for the International Fellowship in Urologic Surgery.
This fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity for young urologists in Asia to gain advanced clinical exposure, develop surgical expertise, and build international professional networks at one of Japan’s leading medical centers. The program is available as a 12-month standard track or 6-month short track.
The Fellowship includes training in advanced urologic surgery, including robotic-assisted urologic surgery, advanced laparoscopic urologic surgery, endourology, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy, and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), with optional exposure to kidney transplantation and donor nephrectomy, microsurgery for male infertility and retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery.
The program includes hospital-provided accommodation with rental costs covered by Kameda Medical Center
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be individual members of the UAA
- Have completed a urology residency program
- Hold a valid medical registration/license in their home country
- Demonstrate a strong interest in advanced urologic surgery and academic collaboration

- Logbook or list of surgical cases performed in the last three years
- One letter of recommendation
