ANZUP Study - Kidney Cancer Outcomes
The ANZUP Cancer Trials Group, in partnership with the University of Queensland, is conducting a qualitative study of people affected by small renal masses and localised kidney cancer, as well as those involved in their care and support.
The study is titled: "Understanding Active Surveillance to Improve the Outcomes of Australians Living with Kidney Cancer (OAK Study)".
The research aims to understand how people experience and make decisions about active surveillance for small renal masses and localised kidney cancer. Your insights will help improve communication, information, and decision-support for future patients and families.
The study will involve one-on-one interviews with: adults diagnosed with a small renal mass or localised kidney cancer; their families/friends; and healthcare professionals involved in kidney cancer care are invited to participate. Interviews will be conducted online or by phone. There are no payment for this study. Participation is voluntary, and your contribution is greatly valued.
If interested in participating, please view the information sheet and complete the consent form. For more information, please email UQ researchers, Nienke Zomerdijk and/or Natasha Roberts.
In addition, USANZ Members can share the study with their patients. Download a flyer to share with patients.
