NZ Health Research Council - Nominations for Medals Now Open
Nominations are now open for the New Zealand Health Research Council's three prestigious health research medals. These medals will be presented at the Royal Society Te Apārangi's Research Honours event later this year.
Te Tohu Rapuora Medal
This medal, which includes a $5000 prize, is awarded to an individual, research team, or community group whose work has demonstrated leadership, excellence, and contribution to advancing Māori health and/or knowledge. Find out more about this medal.
Liley Medal
This medal is awarded to an individual or research team whose recent research has produced a significant breakthrough within the health and medical fields. This medal is for a specific piece of outstanding work, with a lead contribution in health research that is internationally recognised. Find out more about this medal.
Beaven Medal
This medal is awarded to an individual or research team in recognition of excellence in translational health research that has had high impact on clinical practice and patient health. Find out more about this medal.
Nomination Process
Nominations for all three medals close at 1pm NZST on 1 May 2024. Nominations on behalf of others and self-nominations are welcome. For more information, visit the HRC NZ website.
