Philip Tan - Educator of Merit Award

USANZ Member Dr Philip Tan has been awarded a RACS Educator of Merit award for Supervisor of the Year in Tasmania. This award recognises exceptional contributions toward supporting Trainees or Specialist International Medical Graduates.

Phil, together with his predecessor Dr Stephen Brough, gained accreditation for the training post at Launceston General Hospital, which is the only Urology accredited post in Tasmania. Each year, Phil expertly organises the educational program to meet the needs of the trainees and College requirements. He is known for his ability to inspire and guide the trainees, as well as for a high standard of clinical work.

EOI Outcomes

The USANZ Board of Directors is pleased to announce the outcome of several EOIs.

A/Prof Peter Chin has been endorsed as the NSW Section Representative on the USANZ Board of Directors. Peter will commence his term from the 2025 USANZ AGM in March.

Drs Danielle Delaney, Anthony Kiosoglous, Stephanie Kotes, Dominic Lee, and Courtenay West have been selected to present at the Astellas GP OAB Education Series in February 2025

A/Prof Jeremy Grummet, Dr Flavio V Ordones, Prof Manish Patel, Prof Shomik Sengupta, and A/Prof Lih-Ming Wong will represent USANZ at the Urology Beyond Europe Joint Session at EAU25 in Madrid
