RACS Ballot on College Constitution
The Council of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons ballot on proposed governance and constitutional changes is now open.
The proposed updates to the Constitution allow for the establishment of a skills-based governance Board. The Board, to be comprised of a majority of surgeons and chaired by a RACS Fellow, will be complemented by directors with specific skills to collectively undertake fiduciary responsibilities including finance, audit, risk and high-level governance. The core business of RACS will be Council-led.
All RACS Fellows are encouraged to vote in the ballot.
The ballot closes Friday 18 October 2024.
RACS Fellows should have received an email on 17 September with personalised voting information. If you did not receive the email or have other questions about the ballot, email the College President.
