Updated Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Advisories
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has revised three Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS) advisories:
- DI21/06: Clarification of the required evidence for an equipment service provider’s qualifications and licences
- DI21/07: Evidence requirements for optimised radiation technique charts
- DI 21/08: Medication management for medical imaging associated with surgical and interventional procedures
The review resulted in no significant changes. Accrediting agencies will assess diagnostic imaging practices against these advisories immediately.
The DIAS requires that diagnostic imaging practices comply with relevant advisories.
