Darren Katz

A/Prof Darren Katz, Leader of the USANZ Andrology Special Advisory Group, recently featured on an ABC science documentary series, 'Secret Science'. The series explores what it means to be human, examining the complex science of the human body and emotions.

The series produced two episodes on male infertility, including an interview with Darren and footage of him performing a microsurgical testicular sperm explorations (micro-TESE). Micro-TESE has been shown to have the best chance of finding sperm in patients who have no sperm on semen analysis.

Wenjie Zhong

USANZ recently called for Expressions of Interest for a Member to act as the Society Representative on the Australian Prescriber Stakeholder Network. Australian Prescriber is a free, national journal of drugs and therapeutics, published every two months and funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care.

The Board of Directors has announced that Dr Wenjie Zhong was the successful applicant.

Wenjie will represent USANZ in discussions with the Australian Prescriber editorial team, and contribute his expert knowledge to the periodical.
