RACS Scholarships and Grants Program 2026

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Scholarships and Grants Program for 2026 is now open. USANZ Members are encouraged to apply.

This program, through the Foundation for Surgery, supports surgeons, Trainees and health professionals as they inform, learn, educate, facilitate change and improve the quality of surgical care and practice. For more information, see the RACS website.

The program includes:

  • Research Scholarships, which offer recipients the opportunity to pursue a major research project over a period ranging from one to three years. Specific projects and their respective funding levels are outlined on the RACS website.
  • Learning and Development Grants, which offer recipients the opportunity to pursue professional development, training or small research activities in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand or overseas. There are specific programs open to RACS Fellows, Younger Fellows, SET Trainees, SIMGs, Junior Doctors and Final Year Medical Students.
