TGA Update - Outcome of Review of Energy-Based Vaginal Rejuvenation Devices
USANZ has been notified by the TGA that, following a post-market review, all energy-based devices intended to be used for vaginal rejuvenation sold in Australia have now been cancelled from the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.
This follows a previous USANZ announcement in December 2024 about the TGA review of the devices. In addition, in August 2018 USANZ released a Media Release, led by the Female Urology SAG, to caution against the use of these devices for vaginal rejuvenation.
