Celebrating USANZ Members

Dr Vincent Tse Congratulates JCS on 50th Anniversary

The Japanese Continence Society (JCS) recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. As part of the commemorations, USANZ member, Dr Vincent Tse, was invited to contribute an article about the Society. This invitation recognised Dr Tse's invaluable contributions to the field, including as Past President of the Pan-Pacific Continence Society (PPCS) and honorary member of the Urological Association of Asia (UAA).

In the article, Dr Tse reflected on his experiences with the JCS, beginning in 1997 when, as a young resident, he attended his first ICS meeting where he met with Japanese functional urologists. Since 2011, Dr Tse, who was awarded a USANZ medal in 2023, has had regular interaction with the JCS. He played an instrumental role in USANZ joining the PPCS in 2015 and hosting the PPCS Meeting in Sydney in 2019.

In closing, Dr Tse remarked that "Australia and NZ urologists are very fortunate indeed that over the past 10 years or so we have been able to learn, exchange ideas and network with so many JCS members." You can read the full article here.

USANZ joins Dr Tse in warmly congratulating JCS for reaching this milestone.
